Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnose,inspect and test outboard/inboard motors, boats and other marine equipment ( 2 and 4 stoke outboards)
• Ability to work on snowmobile, ATV and lawn equipment
• Repair and trouble shoot electrical equipment on inboard/outboard boat engines
• Communicate effectively with parts team and service writers to ensure repairs are carried out correctly and the proper parts are ordered
• Document inspections, test results and work performed or to be performed as well as hours worked on customer work orders
• Mount motors to boats and operate boats at various speeds on waterways to conduct operational tests
• Maintain an efficient and tidy work area

Experience and Requirements

• Marine Mechanic experience preferred
• Mercury Marine or alternate brand training course would be an asset
• Valid Drivers license and boat license
• Strong organization and observation skills
• Good communication and customer service ability

Job Type: Full-time , Permanent Monday to Friday (ocassional Saturdays) 8 am to 5:00 pm
